A massive rennovation project has been announced for the Central Police Station and Victoria Prison complex in Hong Kong.
The HK$1.8 billion (US$230 million) project will develop over several years and will see the site restored and introduced as an innovative low-rise feature in the centre of the skyscrapers of central Hong Kong. For the first time ever, the public will be able to enjoy the buildings and open spaces of the site.
This blog aims to gather as much information about the history of the police, station, the prison and the magistracy, that played such an important part in the story of Hong Kong.
